6th Grade Science:
Monday: Read pages 74-79, Looking at Fossils, and complete Directed Reading in groups. Complete Section Review individually.
Tuesday: Finish from Monday as needed. Quiz over section. Read pages 80-85 and complete Directed Reading in groups. Complete Section Review individually.
Wednesday: Finish assignment from Tuesday. Continue vocabulary booklet for all words discussed.
Thursday: Lab activity - "Who's on First? A Relative Dating Activity."
Friday: Finish above/discuss. Assign formative assessment - Rock History.
7th Grade Science:
Monday: Lab - Colored Ice Cubes in Hot Water. Review of convection currents both in the air and oceans. Begin with entrance slip, lab and questions, exit slip.
Tuesday: Review water vapor and characteristics of clouds (tree map). Lab - Cloud formation and lab sheet. Complete in groups of 3.
Wednesday: Cloud Formation worksheet for review. Trace the path of a drop of water from Sparta to the Atlantic Ocean and back again. Students need to include: Lake Michigan, Atlantic Ocean, Nash Creek, Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Rouge River, Grand River, Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River. Include the water cycle with your explanation.
Thursday: Grand River Watershed activity.
Friday: Continue/finish Grand River Watershed activity.
