6th Grade Science:
Monday: Lab: Energy of Motion - Finish/discuss lab and lab sheet report. Finish/discuss/grade vocabulary. Introduce Spool Racer lab
Tuesday: Lab: Spool Racer
Wednesday: Finish lab: Spool Racer and lab sheet.
Thursday: Bill Nye: Phases of Matter. Tree Map: Phases of Matter (solid, liquid, and gas - 4 characteristics for each) including a drawing of each phase.
Friday: Test practice sheet.
7th Grade Science:
Monday: Discuss/grade Weather Cycler sections 4-6. General review of Weather Cycler and key aspects of the activities. Review Thinking Maps.
Tuesday: Weather formative quiz/test review.
Wednesday: Student survey. Finish review for test. Go over formative quiz and highlight Weather Cycler.
Thursday: Weather unit test. Begin abbreviated Cell unit. Explain focus of unit. Introduce proper use of the microscope
Friday: Discuss test answers/results. Lab: look at prepared slides of plant cells and animal cells and draw one plant and one animal representation of the prepared slides.
