6th Grade Science:
Monday: Writing assignment, paragraph, (Changes in one population can affect other populations in a food web in two ways)
Tuesday: MEAP (no 7th period) Reinforcement: Symbiotic Relationships, and Vocabulary Activity: Environmental Enigma.
Wednesday: MEAP (no 1-3 period) Reinforcement: Symbiotic Relationships, and Vocabulary Activity: Environmental Enigma.
Thursday: Environmental Problems and Solutions. Read with a partner (my choice), pages 78-83 and complete, with partner, Directed Reading activity.
Friday: Finish/discuss above. You-Tube: Asian Carp
7th Grade Science:
Monday: Article/worksheet: "Getting Together: An Introduction to Compounds". Also double-bubble thinking map comparing atom and molecule. New vocabulary term to be completed: Molecule.
Tuesday: No science due to MEAP testing.
Wednesday: "It's All Matter" activity including "Before and After" sheet. Also, "Tabling Matter" for information. Discuss.
Thursday: Make models of molecules (CO2, H2O, O2, NaCl, C6H12O6). Where possible, form molecules into compounds.
Friday: Article/worksheet: "Atoms, Elements, and Compounds". Also, Venn Diagram comparing compound, element, and mixture.
