6th Grade Science:
Monday: Grade the following: study guide, double bubble thinking map, vocabulary booklet. Collect extra credit activity. Go over test from Thursday.
Tuesday: Bill Nye video over Earthquakes. (Meet with those students who didn't pass test during movie to prepare for retest.)
Wednesday: Pretest over the Rock Cycle. Bill Nye video: Rocks and Soil. Expository writing over video
Thursday: Directed reading activity about minerals. Video: Rocks and Minerals (Science in Action)
Friday: Retest from previous unit. Video over ecosystems while testing. Haiti presentation (12:00 - 2:00)
7th Grade Science:
Monday: Collect 2 double bubble thinking maps over layers of the atmosphere. Assign nuclear reactions formative quiz (may use book and notes as necessary). Discuss/grade
Tuesday: Nuclear fusion Cornell notes from page 585. Make corrections to quiz from Monday.
Wednesday: Snow Day
Thursday: Assign Reinforcement activity (Earth's Amazing Atmosphere).
Friday: Band students gone to festival. Retest from waves unit if prepared. Discuss/grade nuclear fusion assignments. Section quiz
Student-led conferences: Tuesday, February 26 and March 5, 4:00 - 6:30 PM
