6th Grade Science:
Monday: Assemble "Ecosystem in a Bottle" activity. Finish Magic School Bus Video: Hops Home
Tuesday: Read pages 4-7 and complete 5 levels of environmental organization graphic organizer.
Wednesday: Work with "Ecosystem in a Bottle" lab sheet. Record observations in lab.
Thursday: Discuss Tuesday's assignment. Assign "Science Pictionary" for 5 levels of environmental organization. Begin vocabulary booklet if time.
Friday: Lab time recording observations for "Ecosystem in a Bottle". Vocabulary booklet (abiotic, biotic, biosphere, community, ecosystem, organism, population).
7th Grade Science:
Monday: Textbook, read pages 88-90. Assign worksheet "On the Inside". Complete using textbook. Assign worksheet for chapter 4, section 2
Tuesday: Review worksheet for atoms. Bill Nye: Atoms
Wednesday: Research make-up of an atom and what resource gives the information needed to draw and atom model.
Thursday: Finish activity from Wednesday and develop classroom explanation.
Friday: Pass out vocabulary booklet and assign definition and picture for word - matter and atom. Assign "Drawing Atom Worksheet".
